I
believe that each of us have certain gifts that we are meant to share
with the world. Mine is the gift of service.
For more than twenty-five years, I have utilized this gift in various positions
of increasing responsibility in the military and corporate worlds. I have worked in positions that require me to
work both independently, and as part of a team to provide administrative
support to a variety of customers. My experiences have enabled me to
adapt well to change and thrive in a dynamic environment. I believe in
continuous improvement, always learning new tools or processes and am a
quick study.
It was
this gift for providing excellent support to busy executives, paired
with my need to grow personally & professionally, along with a desire for more
control over my destiny & greater work/life balance that inspired me to
become a Virtual Assistant.
In
2005, I graduated from Assist University's
(AssistU) virtual training program to strengthen the foundation for my business,
and Virtual Synergy began operations in 2005. Since then, I've spent many hours learning new skills and strengthening existing skills to serve my clients better - I love to learn.
My love for learning is part of what prompted me to apply for AssistU's certification program. This certification is unique in the industry because:
- It is offered by, and only available to graduates of, AssistU. As with their virtual training program, the bar is set high to ensure that only the most qualified display the AssistU CPVA logo.
- CPVAs are required to re-certify every two years to maintain the designation.
- The exam is a hands-on, experiential exercise which demonstrates how one actually works with clients. It evaluates what core competencies and soft skills are demonstrated and how effective a VA is in a working relationship with a client rather than what someone knows and can recall on a written exam.
So, what does all this mean for you? It means that I have further invested in myself and my business by taking the necessary steps to achieve certification. As you can see from the list of core competencies and skills below, I have demonstrated mastery of areas that can be of great benefit to you and your business as we work together.

I am a charter member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals' Cutting Edge virtual chapter (IAAP's first virtual chapter), and the Missoula Businesswomen's Network.
When I'm not helping my clients create balance, I enjoy being involved with
the activities of my busy family, cooking & baking, learning new concepts to benefit my business and my clients, and hanging out with my
office pup, Caramel.
I get great satisfaction from working with people who value balance and
harmony in their lives and helping them to achieve it. Are you ready for balance? If you are, visit Are You Ready for a VA? to find out if working with a Virtual Assistant is right for you. |
